Description
The 163 freeway entrance street light needs to have its timing adjusted. It needs to run green longer for people entering from the south and north sides of Washington. Every morning during the commute, it gets backed up, drivers need to wait several cycles to get onto it, etc. People are doing dangerous and illegal maneuvers, to go around cars waiting, because they cannot afford all the time it takes. Additionally, it would be nice if the lanes coming from the north side of the intersection can be updated. The left lane is dedicated for going straight only (but everyone uses it to also try to make a right turn because of the delay). The left lane used to be for going straight or turning in the past. It would, make sense for it to be like that again since there is very little straight traffic. The timing only needs to be adjusted for morning commute hours. I have lived in the neighborhood for decades and understand the issue. Thank you for considering a solution to make it more viable and safer.
